Another new miata person

Hey ladies, another new miata person. 2003 Garnet miata. Not new to the mazda world. Previous car was a fully bolted speed6 freektuned on E85. The car was too fat, and I'm not, so my only option was to go lighter. I'm 28 years old, active duty at Ft. Campbell. Soon to be a civilian, because I took one to the chest, and im ready to be closer to family. First 6 cars were DSMs, so I'm not an idiot. Just here to scavenge for knowledge and parts. Goals for the car are LS swap, or massive turbo build.

Welcome to the forum. There's a lot of information here on what it takes to make power on the BP engine or doing an LSx swap. A lot of us do track days or actually race on tracks. The DIY FAQ is a little out of date but still contains important info about the platform.

Thank you for your service. We have several military or prior military here.

We also seem to attract various types of engineers and technical guys to this forum. We are typically hands-on wrenchers here.

What are your plans for the car when built? Track? Autocross, street, DD?

Thanks for your support. Honestly I don't know what I want to do with it as an end goal. It handles better than most cars i've had completely stock already, so most likely autocross. Every other build i've ever done has been for straight line or large/medium sized tracks.

I see what you did there. I still have a 91 dsm. It's an addiction.
