This forum prides itself on providing good information and helping people to live better online lives.

Hints for "first-posts" in future forums:
Put location in profile.
Fill out signature.
More info about car.
More info about you that you care to share.
Pics... of car or girlfriend.
Capitalize sentences like they taught you in third grade.
Don't title the thread yoyoyo.

Example of GOOD first post.
Title: Navy NOOB in VaBch.
Message: Hey everyone, I'm Sam and I live in Virginia Beach. I've had a Miata for about 3 years and recently sold it. I went through several turbo "builds" but the last one was a T25 w/Megasquirt. I'm currently looking to buy my first NB and will be on the hunt for 300whp. I'm in the Navy and will be moving to San Diego at the beginning of December. I hope to be a productive member of this forum so let me know if I'm doing any stupid NOOB ****. If you're in the area, drop me a PM cause I know the local guru's and can hook you up. -Sam

You can PM a moderator to delete this thread and try again... otherwise we'll all remember you as the guy who's first post was titled yoyoyo.

another dumbfuck who can't follow simple directions.

I'll break it to you nicely, I am not someone you want to **** off. I could go into some big, long tirade about starting my career as a "cleaner" for the iceman, then going out as a freelance mercenary, and possibly discuss that time I had to kill 4 prison guards with my bare hands when escaping the POW camp in Laos, but then you could just fix the problems here and save me the key-strokes.

Damn, sorry, geez. -__-

Didn't realize there were such strict rules for introducing oneself.

SO, let me start over.

I'm 20, going to school, and broke as any other college student out there. I'm from Socal (orange county) and I've been a miata owner for 4 months now. It is a silverstone 91. I got it for 3k with everything in pretty much perfect order. Shifts smooth, engine runs strong, new top, new paint, clean interior, etc.

I'm coming over from CR.net because I realized that if I wanted to learn more about turbos and tuning, this would be a better place as it is dedicated to those two topics.

I'm trying to figure if I should go FI, or NA, or just leave it as it is.

Oh, and hustler, if I pissed you off, then your fault. It's not like it was intentional and you should know that. Sorry if you have a short temper, but let's try to be mature about this, yeah? No hard feelings.

Thanks for the headsup Samnavy.

If you want complete reliability, stay NA. If you want fun go turbo. If you keep boost low and use bandaids, your good for reliability too.

But if you are going electronic and high boost. With no money and having to tune it yourself. It can be a good or bad decision, and very costly. Clutch $300, Wideband $225.00, MS brainack $450-$500.

or
Bandaids can come with the used kit or separately, $50-75 used FPR, MSD or Bipes $50-$125. 1.8L injectors $40-$60. 8-9 psi.
You really need the wideband anyway. And then you wouldn't need to spend the $75 on dyno time.
Or $75 for a half and hr on dyno to make sure AFR is correct.
