Been a lurker for years, should say hello!

I found this forum 4 or 5 years ago and found it a wealth of information, but haven't been too actively involved before.

I started off with Miatas buying a '91 Eunos Roadster JDM import back in '99 and running it NA for about 2 years before fitting a GReddy kit. Before long the I had the bug and fitted a FMIC, Racing Mazda DP and enthuza exhaust and a TEC2 for fuelling. I got to the point where the next step was a built 1.6 or a 1.8 swap.

Then in 2005 my mate offered me his nice stock '99 for cheap so I snapped that up and sold the NA. I'd traded the TEC2 in for a TEC3 so was running that normally aspirated for a while. In 2006, after swapping a few emails with FM, I manged to get the hotside parts of the FM4 kit they'd been running on elvis. T3 manifold with external wastegate, T3/T04E 50 trim and matching downpipe. Made my own over the rad intercooler set up and added a decent exhaust and I've been running like this at about 7-8psi for the past few years. I'm still on the stock clutch so that has been my limiting factor!

About to start the next phase of work. I've a built bottom end with FM Wisecos, belfab rods, ARP fasteners, 2001 MBSP and sump and billet oil pump gears (thanks Travis :bigtu:). That along with an ACT clutch & flywheel, 6 speed 'box and 3.636:1 rear end will be going in over the next month or so. I'm also soon to aquire a ported '99 head with uprated FM valvetrain parts to go on.

Can't wait :giggle:

Rich
