De-Noobing
What's up everybody? Noob from NH, Miata-less right now but looking for the right one to pick up.
I have a 2.slow Impreza as my daily but I am looking for an all powerful '04-'05 MSM. I've only been searching for a few weeks though so I am sure I have a ways to go before I find the perfect specimen. Before a couple N/A Subarus I drove an S4 for a while which was fun, but I am looking to get my first RWD car in a weekend warrior type of ride as the Subie is my AWD daily. So just wanted to say hello, and I look forward to learning everything I can about Miatas (from the search button, don't worry) before I find a cherry to grab. Thanks for reading! -Anthony |

I also chuckled at that.
It must be fast! It says Mazda SPEED! |
I'm pretty sure he meant that tongue-in-cheek, but his post was also the first i read after a quick visit over to Miata.net.

Haha I'm glad that got a few laughs, and yes I was joking. I can't believe some of the cars on here... 300 horsepower in a Miata! Incredible.
But the MSM will be just fine for what I need. I figure throw a little enchilada kit on her and I'll have a nice little cruiser for pretty cheap money considering pretty much all other sports cars prices. Sure I won't be like you guys with your 300 hp little rocketships, but with my track record on the pavement 200 hp to the wheels in a sub 3000 lb car will be just fine, and a huge improvement over this 2.slow tank of mine. Thanks for the welcome Guys |
Welcome, therover27!

No MSM ever saw less than 2000lbs. You were right the first time. :giggle:

Yup, you were right. They are porkers from the factory at 2500lb. Though with basic weight redux you can get them down to 2350 easy.
I love my daily driver MSM with 226whp, it feels fantastic. One thing I'd recommend if you get one, a proper EMS will make as much a difference as the little enchilada. |
