Talking Hello(Recommend some mods )

Sup guys just picked up a 97' Miata, just getting into the car community so I don't know to much about cars but I'm very interested and eager to learn.
So with that being said recommend some mods for me, so far I plan for coilovers, quick release steering wheel, cold air intake, bucket seats with harness, it already came with a hard dog roll bar so that's done, and last but not least a turbo, so if anyone has anymore mods I should do or brands that would be fantastic, thanks. :P

You need a 4" exhaust tip to go with that intake if you want to maximize flow benefits.

For the steering wheel, neochrome.

coilovers, Do your homework with these and learn about suspension dynamics. Don't just drop it and think you're set. Xidas are bause sauce , Some here run Tein coils

quick release steering wheel, Skip this...

cold air intake, If you really want one just make it yourself instead of buying a brand name. Don't suck up water

bucket seats with harness, Marrad makes nice seats at a good price. Comes with everything you need. Do your homework in the race-prep section of the forum for a harness that'll work. They work differently than seat belts and if installed incorrectly or not adjusted properly you're gonna have a bad time if you ever wreck

it already came with a hard dog roll bar so that's done, Nice.

The first thing I'd look into mod wise is getting a megasquirt so you can learn to tune your car. As for a first bolt on I'd pick up a racingbeat header and full exhaust (header/mid pipe/muffler).

If you plan to go trubo sooner than that and have baller monies. Just pickup a full flyin miata turbo kit with no electronics or a begi system... and use your megasquirt to tune it yourself.

Shuiend is a super mod. 18psi is a good mod.
I wouldn't recommend Hustler unless you like bicycles or bath houses.

Megasquirt and AFM delete will be your best hp for the $. Header will be meh and only get you a few hp.

If you get harnesses, don't get 4pt unless you want to die. 5pt or 6pt only, and installed per the instructions. SFI or FIA rated seats installed with a back brace or don't do it. No reclining seats.

That's, like, my opinion, man.

Sounds like you wanna race!

I'd recommend (and so would grassroots motorsports) 205 RE-71R tires on 15x8 6UL rims (949racing.com) and get a Longacre Tire Pyrometer so you can get your alignment dialed in based on tire temperature spread across the tire tread surface.
