Gonna put some NOS in mu whipp
Hey guys, I'm Ryan. The title was just to get 18psi to threaten to sodomize me with a traffic cone or something. I've been a miata owner for just a few months, and I've been reading posts from this forum since day one. I overpaid for a rusted out 90 to some kid with a new baby, but I love the car to death. My goals for the car are to first clean it up and straighten out the body, and then move on to safety, suspension, and finally the turbo. I'm a firm believer in doing things right the first time, so I'm planning on using parts from FM, racingbeat, etc, and I will be glad of suggestions along the way. I'll try to post some pics of the car in its current (ugly) form soon. I look forward to getting to know you guys.

No idea, it was on the car when I bought it.
I think its a HC HT DD but I haven't actually measured it. I just realized I don't have any pics of the car with the top down, I'll have to fix that at some point. I will say I really like the look of the double diagonal bar with the top down. Plus the 'little tupperwear' factory body makes it look less like a hairdresser's car.

Thanks, I've been going back and forth between the Hard Dog Sport "Fat Boy" and the Boss Frog Single Hoop Maxx. They look pretty much the same, but I think the boss frog is taller.

Both those bars are meant for hard top compatibility and the main hoops are pretty much identical because of it. Tallest hoops will be the softop only versions.
I've never understood why you guys in rust affected areas buy local cars. Tons of rust free down here and many other parts of the country. Shipping is cheap compared to rust repair.

Because the car gets lighter as it rusts? No good reason really, other than the fact that it is local.
Besides, $1,000 isn't terrible for something with a new top, wheels and tires. A miata doesn't have a lot of surface area to sand.
