Hello all....
My name is Brian and I live in Boulder Co.
I just purchased a 1990 miata for a $150 bucks, seems to run good looks ok.
It needs a new top is all I have found wrong with it so far. I have been on this forum researching putting a turbo on it. I work at a tow company in Boulder and have many cars at my disposal. (where i got the miata). So as i reasearch what is posted I may need some help along the way.

Brian

Welcome. Next time you come across a $150 90 Miata with no issues, you have to get your MT brethren involved! I call dibs.

On a '90, the first thing I would do is get a good look at the crank nose and pre-emptively do the locktite mod. While there, I'd refresh the timing belt and water pump. Then you're off to the races.

^^^ If you can get there from TX before I can from Colorado Springs lol.

Howdy, welcome to the site. There are a couple members here from CO, and a bunch more FI Miata owners in state who aren't manly enough to hang out here. Don't be like them

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have plans of changing the belt and water pump. But i havnt read anything about a lock tite up grade. I will hunt for that on the forum. Thanks for the tip. Matthew after i get the miata on the road we will have to meet up in castle rock or something and find a curvy road!

Sounds good. I hear Boulder Canyon Dr/Hwy 119 is pretty badass, right out of your back yard. Shitloads of good roads around here as you know. My faves these days are West/Southwest of Pikes Peak...Florrisant, Guffey, Royal Gorge...that area. Beautiful, curvy, desolate, no cops.
