Hello

Just purchased my first miata (wanted one for a very long time) and decided on a NC miata mostly due to wife/kids, they thought it looks better but my eyes were set on a mazdaspeed.

Anyways, going to be a work in progress for a while. I did purchase a turbo kit from a person that many on here do not seem to be fans of..... however someone else is doing the tuning.

Welcome

I think the "t00ning" was what he had more of a problem with than the hardware

Am am allergic to just about everything in that club.... So mine club is the 4 wheeled kind

Everything I have read is the tdr turbo kit is the best out there which is why I went that direction

On another not, anyone familiar with fat cat motorsports? I found a used set of double adjustable coilovers that fit my budget, just worried it would be to much for a daily driver. Spring rates are 500/375 and they were setup for a autocross car. My miata will be a 8 or so month daily driver plus a track day or two.

You'll probably love the fat cats. I love mine, though my spring rates are a bit softer than that. I could stand to go firmer.

I've also got a MSM, so YMMV.

Welcome.

We also have a '13 Club, which is my wife's DD. So far stock except Enkei PF01s and Progress springs/sways. Properly damped, I don't think those spring rates would be a problem.

Jealous of the turbo kit. I'm leaving ours stock until the warranty is out. I'll play with my NA instead.

I decided to buy the fat cat motorsports coilovers. Working out shipping and getting a broken part fixed before they are installed. The coilovers have a external oil resevoir and something on that is broken. I talked to Fat Cat about the issue & the present owner of the coilovers has also talked to them about it..... they will be fixed for free.

The guy I am getting the coilovers form is also sending me a rx8 front bar, I believe it's the yellow bar and suggests I disconnect/remove the rear bar.

After this stuff is paid off it will be time for some new wheels. Just not sure the best size yet

Just found out today the TDR turbo kit will be shipped out today.

With some luck the end of the month the car will finally be finished and I can have it shipped from Texas to Ohio. I wanted to drive it back but with all 3 kids in the middle of soccer season (plus I play 40+ soccer) there isn't time.

RX8 front sway bar arrived yesterday, probably be 3 or so weeks before the fat cat coilovers arrive.

Roda - any pics of your wifes car by chance? I am trying to decide which wheels to go with & also which size. Many seem to suggest 17x9 & 245-40's which is what I am leaning towards. Or possibly 18's..... but I worry more fender rolling would be required.

Here's a few... Since it's the wife's DD, I went with 17x8-50 PF01, 215/45-17 s.Drive. No fender rolling required for these. For you, 17x9 w/ 235/40-17 may be a better choice.
