I got 99 problems, and number 00 is my Miata
I've been lurking in MT.net for long enough I decided it was time to finally make an account. I have a '00 Twilight Blue that is in pieces in a storage unit after I had stored it for winter and began replacing the boat anchor with a 01+ header, mounts, intake cleaning, etc. when I was in a severe car accident. Now, almost three years later, I am finally physically well enough to do something more than check the oil, and with the settlement around the corner have decided to finally add some boost to the beast - as well as reassemble it.
I am grateful beyond belief to the amount of information on this site, combined with the NA guys at Miata.net I feel there is no question left unanswered after a short search. I look forward to being a member and joining you all with another topless hellion in the coming months.

For now, I'd like to just be able to drive it again. 3 years without a Miata is nothing short of torture(although my Mazda2 has kept me from going insane). Short term I want reliable power for mountain roads and the occasional AutoX day, but it's pretty much going to be a weekend warrior. I have the Mz2 for rainy days and a Buick Regal I run when the salt starts flying or need to tow something.
Long term...honestly I have no idea. I've never attended a track day so that would be something I'm interested in. I've never had a F/I car so I haven't gotten the power itch yet. So until I get a feel for how the car reacts to a 50%+ gain in power, and then learn how to handle that power properly, I don't want to make any assumptions or fairy-tale plans.
Except for paint, so much chipping on the hood, fenders, and front bumper that paint is a priority in the next couple years.

I try to research things myself before asking questions, and keep my questions precise. I feel a kit from FM or Begi would be a better starting point until I reach the point where I want or need to upgrade. Speaking of, what's the deal with Begi. Half of the people seem to worship them and the other half are ready to strangle them - I just can't seem to figure out why.
