Default Hello

Hello everyone! So I've just about wrapped up my first build, just waiting on exhaust to be built and shipped, and wanted to thank everyone on here for helping make this an awesome site! Ive spent many hours on here researching over the past year and the site has proven to be an invaluable resource!

The car is a 92 and I bought it late 2009.
stuff still on the car from previous owners: 1.8 swap(engine, brakes, diff), hard dog roll bar, braided stainless clutch line, and it had been painted in enamel paint... not holding up well.
Stuff Ive done(chronological order): Torsen diff, 15x9 6uls with rs3's, FM 2.5 suspension kit with ground controls, EBC dimpled/slotted rotors, Braided Stainless brake lines, Mega Squirt pnp, Turbo stuff, momo wheel.

Let me see if I can figure out how to post pics

the exhaust came in and I had to have an exhaust shop weld an adapter to make it fit but it sounds great! here's a link to some photos of the build.

Posting a link to your Album is LAME. Here's how you rock our world.

Inside your album, just scroll over your photo, and the list of links will pop up... you want the DIRECT LINK. When you SINGLE-LEFT-CLICK, it will momentarily flash COPIED.

Now come back to the forum and click on the little icon above that looks like a mountain. Click on it. If you have a badass pop-up blocker, you might have to click in the little yellow bar at the top of the page that comes up that says "YES, TEMPORARILY ALLOW SCRIPTED WINDOWS..." Then you may have to cliky on the mountain icon again to see the entry box.

DON'T CLICK IN THE BOX!!! The http:// that is in there is already highlighted, so all you have to do as soon as the box shows is Ctrl-V to paste the DIRECT LINK. The DIRECT LINK contains it's own http:// and will delete the one already in the box. Then click OK, and you should see your PHOTO appear in the text-box.

Now you are win.

Actually, if he clicks two links lower on the "IMG code" then all he needs to do is come over here and press ctrl-v.

^True, but then you can't preview it in the message box. I like the DIRECT LINK entry method because it actually puts the pic in your message. Using the IMG is one less step though.

Also If anyone cares to click the link to the album, the pics will make the most since if you click the last one and then scroll by hitting the previous button. There are some decent pick of my spacerless coolant reroute in there.

Update on engine and turbo stuff. Flyin Miata manifold and down pipe, T25 from an early 90s silvia relocked (had to drill 2 holes in the back of the compressor to mount the wastegate actuator), Ebay universal intercooler with 2" piping. 3" stainless exhaust after the down pipe. EVAP removed and EBC mounted in its place running 12 PSI, Coolant reroute (no metal piping inserts in the hoses looks completely OEM), GODSPEED radiator with slim fans on the way.

Well, a freeze plug blew the other day and lost all coolant. The head gasket blew, and we're pulling the head off Sunday, and hopefully getting it back up and running by then. Just a bit of an update, as I don't think he's on here often. If the mods would prefer, we could retitle this thread and move it to a location where build threads are acceptable?

that sucks, did the freeze plug rust out or did it come out some other way?

Andrew just got a new radiator too, right?

well he did a coolant reroute, and where the lower radiator hose attaches to the block; that water neck was turned around to clear the turbo and the lower, smaller diameter opening was tapped for some coolant hose; I forget which. Well, he had put jb weld on a freeze plug which happened to fit that. What he thinks happened was when he put the coolant flush liquid in, it ate at that jb weld, and then when he was driving it home, it finally came loose. Of course, that has been fixed since, and has a much stronger, much more reliable fitting on it now.
