Default Newbie now a Proud Owner!!!!

Well I finally found the right one for me. I was looking for a green one with tan leather interior, but I bought a Silver 2000, base model. It has 91k miles and has been cared for very well. I have all the records, etc. Yeah, it has a blemish or two, but it is very solid.

I bought in the Bay Area, where I live, and drove it to Henderson, NV where I am working. I got 31.7 mpg for the 568 mile trip. I am very happy with that. I am driving over 100 miles a day now and wanted at least 30 mpg, so it looks like that will not be a problem.

I know most of you aren't interested in fuel economy, but at this point I have to be. I'll see if I can upload a couple pics.

Cheers
Richard

So when are you gonna strap a turbo to it?

What a gay car. Luckily we all own one here (well most of us). With a 2560r turbo at 8psi I got 32mpg with a megasquirt FYI.

Thanks for the welcome. Nearly 30 years ago I did some serious playing with cars. I had one that I time trialed and messed around with (the new one) and one I just drove. That was a good working situation.

Right now, I need one I can drive daily and get good economy, but I could sure see myself having another one to really play with. So, I'll just keep hanging around and absorbing knowledge until that time comes.
