Hello again
Haven't had a Miata for a few years, just picked this one up in central Texas a few days ago. I will be starting a thread on some questions I have. Does anyone recognize this car though from a past member? Just curious what else may have been done to it. From my understanding it was given in a trade and then sold off after sitting for a while. For instance curious to see if it has an aftermarket clutch and thus a stiff pedal or is the throughout bearing no good.
-JR m45 -RB front and rear sways with front sway reinforcing bar -RB header and full exhaust -KYB AGX shocks and maybe H&R springs -HardDog M2 hard top roll bar I believe, need to measure it. -Air to water intercooler -Either custom or old snow performance boost cooler kit plumbed from windshield reservoir -JR BTC and power card https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...2b275223fd.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...8f9f8a90cb.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...3635354959.jpg |
It's supercharged with a powercard system, it's highly unlikely that someone here owned it since both of those are usually ditched in favor of a turbo and standalone ECU.

First thing on the list to buy is a wideband, should be able to retard the timing to at least a safe spot until I can get MS. Probably get a new methanol injection kit, pre and post blower and get rid of the air to water intercooler. Then up the boost a bit and should be potent enough until I decide to k or ls swap it. |
It might be worth your time to get a megasquirt and install it to see if you can gain anything before going crazy with an engine swap. I guess it all depends on your final goals though. Welcome either way!

I'll let the pros guide you on that but I have a MS3Pro sitting in my garage waiting to be installed on my car. I do know that engine swap stuff can get rather expensive really quick. I started adding up what it would cost to do a K-swap in my 1992 to my liking and decided it was a better investment of my time and money to just buy a s2k. I now have both and don't regret the decision at all. I know there is a market for it and I still would really love to do it, I just didn't feel like throwing $10k+ in the firepit. Either way, good luck on whatever direction you decide to go.
