Been a lurker for a while, haven't posted much, and I do not believe I ever introduced myself, so I'll start there.
bought a 99 miata off an old member, angrytoaster I think. I helped build it with him a while back. it sat for a few years, I went to get my Airframe and Powerplant certifications, he went to pursue a law education. I bought it last year, had it purring, and then my brother crashed it on a rainy day.

But thats behind us, I now have a 1994 Miata in black, and I have all the old goodies from the 99 including the Begi S manifold, a separated gasses SS DP, a braineack built MS2, and a chinacharger which I put in a box and wrote "jet turbine build" on for later.

I acquired a brand new VF52 turbo from a subaru, and figured it would be as good a turbo as any to begin a build with. Unfortunately my Begi S manifold wont match a TD04 flange, so I've been lurking around looking at the log builds people on this forum have gotten into; looks right up my alley.
I saw one member modify the begi header by welding hardware onto it to match the VF turbo inlet, dissimilar metal expansion turns me off to that though, however someone mentioned that Greddy turbine housings in the correct size swap right onto IHI turbos and give it a T25 flange, i know nothing of it, but I'm researching that direction right now.

Currently I've been rewiring the ECU for the 94, a few tweaks, and trying to understand whats going on in the proto area, still reading the documentation on this, but it should be ready to go!
test running this week sometime when I'm not busy.

trying to make sense of this, haven't really looked into it too hard yet.

the process will be slow going right now, but once winter takes off i'll have the car all apart, i have rust to deal with and an engine to overhaul before it all goes back together.
