Default Hello World

Semi new to the forum, I browsed for awhile until I finally made an account to see some pictures, then posted asking some stupid advice.

Apologies in advance for my failure into English language. I was literally tutored my entire childhood and it never made a difference.

Sum it up quick, my name is Steve I go to NIU (yay orange bowl heh) though I transferred from IIT in Chicago a few years back, hometown=palatine. Studying to be an EE (I would double major and be an ME but that would take too long). Cars have always been a hobby ever since I can remember. My dad used to race a 94R back when I was 12 and I have the fondest memories of that car. Helping install the jackson racing cai and koni stuff, being driven around in this big gokart.

Had my eyes set on getting a miata as a replacement for my ducati which was a replacement for my gs500 which was totaled from some bitch who made a uturn ontop of me and left.. but anyway did a track day on the ducati loved it but got pressured into something "safer" so my hunt for the red miata began. Alas browsing craigslist for awhile i ended up finding none that were really rust free. Stupid me ended up buying something that i hadn't planned on and something unpractical. (expensive to race, backseat useless if i put in a rollbar or cage, faster then necessary on the street, too clean to race, poor city mpg (hwy was 34)

I sold that about a month ago and am back in search of a miata which leads me here.

As a very hands on person (dabbling in mini BAJA SAE though they cared more about drinking then even trying to make a competitive car and thus I left, also i have a habit of pissing people off by telling people they're wrong when they are and are spreading misinformation). I can do just about anything car related (i used to own a mercury mystique that pretty much broke down monthly) though I haven't actually tuned a car I've read quite a few books on it and have a fairly through though maybe not complete understanding.

So alas I'll leave with a picture the chive stole from me and posted as their own Name: yNUKEl.jpg
