NEWB in Arizona
Just got spanked by Leafy for not having an intro post, although I have been lurking long enough to know thats nothing new and to be expected.
I am flirting with 50 but not there yet and have a significant motorsports history, although thats all it is... history.
Picked up a 2000 SE to replace my M-Roadster, this was by design. The wife wasn't on board with aftermarket for the bimmer but she seems to have no problem with me and the Miata. This is working out well, because I liked the torque of the 6 but I'm really getting in to revvin the 1.8 to all hell and back.
It'll be mostly street with an occasional visit to Firebird for a track day here and there. I was originally going full street sleeper, but now that I have scoped out a few cars here I can see that I like the low and wide look, just not over done and don't think I mind if looks the part.
Force fed? That is planned and I'm just deciding on the DIY or kit format. I can afford the kit, but like the satisfaction of DIY. I have strolled around here quite a bit but will still probably lay out some newb on you...
I can take a beating so you are welcome to rough me up any time.

Wilkommen! I thought I heard a nasty rumor Firebird was closing because of some problem with Injuns.
I pieced my own parts together, as do most on this site. Search for ABSURDflow manifolds on this forum to see what fun you can have without going to a kit.

First off, welcome. Down in tucson here.
Second, Firebird isnt closing. The track owner's 30 year lease expires in just over a month. Bondurant is taking control of at least 1 track (Firebird West) so far, and the other two--East and Main--are still in the air. Then you still have the Lake, and the Off Road track. Bondurant runs on Main as well sometimes, so im sure theyll pick that up as well.
Lastly, if you want to get on track, NASA-AZ is running on Main in March. Sign up now to get early bird pricing. Its the biggest event of the year since Modified Magazine is doing their Annual Tuner Shootout. What makes this year the best yet is due to Global Time Attack running as well. so 3 different orgs running on the same track in a span of 2 days.
