Hey guys, been a member over at ClubRoadster.net for a while. Meet w/ a few buddies out there that are part of Euroteknik.
2002 Special Edition, Titanium Gray. Saw this site from a post on CR.net from Splittime (Dave I believe is his name). Anywho here are a few pics. Looking to get a custom turbo setup. So I have a few questions I shall post. What should I expect to pay for everything, parts, labor, turning etc? Does anyone have suggestions on who in the Chicago Land area can do this? Budget is right around $2500...is this too little? Only shotting for 5-7lbs boost. Thanks, and enjoy. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...an_May12_1.jpg Attachment 213012 http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...an_May12_3.jpg Attachment 213013 Attachment 213014 |

No...what? 2500 being too little?

Put the state in you profile since most people dont know where Plainfield is.
I would expect more, than 2500, but it depends on what your capable of doing yourself. |
Since he indicated that he intends to pay for labor and tuning, I'd wager that $2,500 is low.
Shooting for 5-7 pounds does not justify anything resembling a custom setup, given that you're not doing the fab work yourself. It will be far cheaper to buy a complete off-the-shelf kit given that constraint. The Bell BEGI-S kit is $2,145 for the NB, including the whole AFPR-based fuel system w/ pump. Fortunately, "tuning" for this system will be fairly minimal, even on a DynoJet I'd think you could nail it in 30 minutes or so. Labor is whatever it is. Frankly, if you can change your own spark plugs you can install a Bell turbo kit, so you might at least consider doing the work yourself. |
