Default Hello from Baltimore

Just got my first miata and am excited to be here. I have wanted a miata since high school and finally got around to getting one.. 10 years later

For the last 3.5 years I have been motorcycle stunt riding, and plan to continue.

Picked up my miata for $2500 with zero rust from an older guy who took great care (and records) of the car. It has leather, a/c, cruise control, bolt in roll bar, racing beat manifold, high flow cat, and racing beat exhaust and a pretty nice speaker/sub setup. Very clear, not window rumbling base or anything like that.

Now I'm just like every other noob... been looking at "turbo'in" the miata before having one. I have a few friends with turbo cars, so they don't want me to waste my time and money setting up the car with band-aids. I have spend the last two days reading all about ecu's. I like the MSPnP option, but building it myself looks pretty intimidating.

At this point, my head hurts from all the reading so I figured I would take a break stop in and say hi.

I would be very interested in checking out some local turbo setups. Im located in Towson, MD. Let me know.

-Tom

Well welcome to the forum and its glad to see another semi close member. I was in Frederick MD now in Harpers Ferry but still not that far. As far as the turbo setup there is more than enough info on getting a good setup for a fair amount of money. With the megasquirt if you don't want to build one they can be bought in the classifieds on a fairly basis and if you need help with one there is a very very very good write up on how to make one.

If by dirt bike spots.. you mean the pack of guys who ride bmore streets.. then yes.. I ride during the summer with them. Boys in blue can be entertaining.

Although my bike is dirt bikeish, it is a supermoto with street only tires. So no off road for me. I will have to check out the loch raven roads sometime.. I usually stick to the lots though.

I have to take some pics... I know. I may do that tomorrow.

I would definitely like to check out ur car. I usually ride my motorcycles at the raven stadium parking lots. Maybe we could meet there.

loch raven area is alot of 15mph (posted) twisties, probably not your type of spot for the bike but tons of fun in a car.
