Hello Everyone!!

Hey guys, my name is Matt and im 17 lol. Anyway, I came on here because I can never get a straight response on other forums and well im much hated on there. Well I own a 91 Miata which is my drift car and an S14 which is my daily. Yes I know it should be switched around but its something different. I do plan on boosting my miata soon and also my S14 which I am doing an engine rebuild with a KA I picked up a few weeks ago, should be interesting! Thats sort of intro about me I guess haha. Now here is my question I want to ask you guys:

I recently bought a Torsen 1.8 rear in plans on swapping it in over the winter. Well priorities have changed and I'm more focused on getting my S14 into tip top shape, but when I got the rear end, I didnt just get the driveshaft and axels, I got a complete 97 Torsen Rear, comes with Subframe, PPF, Brakes, Ebrake Lines, diff, driveshaft, the whole entire rear. Now I saw some people say that a torsen diff is worth about 800$ and im wondering what my whole complete rear end torsen swap is worth and if anyone would be interested in it. I didn't know where to ask but I'm asking now. Yes I know if I do go turbo its recommended to do the 1.8 rear. But I want to see what it is worth and I could use the money towards my S14! Thankyou Guys!

You're going to have fun on this forum

Torsen swap with axels and driveshaft typically goes for $500-$900 depending on your local miata market.
subframe is maybe worth $40-$60
brakes with brackets about $50 or so for a 1.6 guy to upgrade
the rest isn't worth much.

Hahaha I really dont go forums because of asshole responses even though I would set myself up for it. So if I post it up forsale you think 1100obo would be a fair price even though I don't wanna part everything out from the subframe

concealer404 02-03-2015 11:23 AM

Lol $1100? Fuck no.

Good way to skirt the rules in your intro thread, though. We like it when that happens.

Too high. Scrap yards sell all of that for about $900, and that's assuming it's a 3.9 diff. 4.1 or 4.3 diffs usually sell for significantly lower.
No one on here is going to want to pay scrap-yard prices.

1996 Miata complete rear subframe/differential etc.. (Kennesaw) $250

Found one 2 years ago listed for $250. You can list it for whatever you want. just be prepared to get low balled and sit on it for a while.

S14Matt 02-03-2015 11:30 AM

Alright! Well I was just wanting to see how much it was worth and I thank you guys for helping me out so far. And Yes Concealer you know me far to well. To be honest im not really in the market to be selling it but well see what happens. Thanks again everyone

concealer404 02-03-2015 11:31 AM

In your first post, you said you were in the market to sell it. 25 minutes later, you're not in the market?

How do you get projects done if you change your mind that quickly?

Monk 02-03-2015 11:32 AM

What do you mean? 18psi does it.

I wanted to see how much I could get it for and maybe sell it. Yes I am stupid and can never make my mind up but I don't want to sell it if I don't have to. I would love the extra cash but I don't need it at the moment, so I'm in no rush to get rid of it.

concealer404 02-03-2015 11:39 AM

I want to sell it. I don't want to sell it. I want to sell it. No rush to sell it.

You left out "I need the money to finish my other project. I'm in no rush to get rid of it."

Why are you hated on other forums? Are you an asshole? Some of us really like assholes. Especially 17yr old assholes.

You don't get straight replies cause you're not straight.
I bolded the parts where you come out of the closet.
As for your question: no. get out.
go back to your flat brim swaggot closet metro community, we like making cars fast and functional, which stands against everything that you are.

There's always the brz/frs platform if you have money. Idk what's the car of choice from the early to mid 2000 era car for drifting.

Broke dick 350z's, G35's and Genesis coupes will be pretty cheap in another 5 years. Something will always drop into the under $5k range that will catch their collective attention, Suby, Honda, whatever.
