Hello from Monterey Park

Hello Im a new blood to cars but doesn't mean I don't know my fair share about them either. I just recently graduated from UTI about a year now and i fully understand I don't know much at all but anyway im gonna be heading to the Army soon and im looking forward to getting as much info about modding, engine swapping, and tuning about my 1991 Miata so when i get back i have something to look forward too. :) What im really interested is learning about a I6 2JZ engine swap with (if possible) twin turbo the sucker .

The 2JZ is already twin turbo. There is a guy on here who has done it. Seems to have been a successful swap, although like many swaps, has had many bumps in the road. Its not an easy thing to do, but if you are determined to do it, Jump straight in like a freezing cold pool, and be prepared for the Hazing. lol
The hazing will only stop once the car runs. haha

Not all 2JZs are TT already, just FYI. The 2JZ is just part of an engine family. You could get them NA here in the Lexus IS300 and GS300. That was the 2JZ-GE. The GTE was the turbo model sold overseas only.

And to the OP: Yeah dude it's pretty much a bolt in from what I've heard. How hard can it be? :fael:

Welcome to the site jeffsushi. I am the guy on here that has a 2jz in my miata. I am using a 2jzge non turbo converted to turbo. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I must advise you though getting the engine and trans into the car is not the hard part making all the electronics work is. I have spent a good portion of 4 years getting my car to run correctly and it is just starting to work like it should. I will help you with what I can. Where are you located at? I would like to also say if you do not like to wire things do not do a 2jz swap the wiring is by far the hardest part. I was ok at automotive electronics when I started my project now there is not much I would be scared to try and wire just a heads up. Lots of wiring lots of time. Other than that good luck and feel free to message me.
