Whats up, my name is Matthew and im from the Bay area. I've owned my NA8 for a little over 2 years now and had an NB2 for a short period of time (crashed). After i wrecked and parted that, ive been building the NA again, so the project as a whole was at a stand still for quite a few months. Its rolling along now, with a lot of near-future goals. Ive been on clubroadster for a long time and lurk a lot of forums and this is my favorite, most respectful and informative one TODAY.
Thanks!

Pak is my last name lol.
Sorry, i registered and posted on mobile earlier

recently just got back from an LA trip to Blackbird Fabworx:

my car is in the middle here.. i got quite a few people around me into Miatas too.

I'm also a tech at a somewhat decent Firestone, so thats currently funding me:

The image you see there^ in the second picture shows some healed damage from an accident i was in. Some lady ran a red light and hit me in the rain, i thought the car was forever tweaked, but ive since replaced plenty of components and everything checks out.

But this accident i was in happened to be a total loss for the car, so I got paid and kept it, and bought another miata. Lol. I started heavily modifying that one until I crashed it, won't say how beside... touge. Lesson learned.
Picture of said NB:

Attention is back to the NA, my [only] other car, so I'm now trying to make the NA track ready, power goals are undecided 100% but I have a few ideas. It truly just depends on what opportunities present themselves.

Yeah, I read it as Patsmx5, who has been a member here for a long time.

I love black miatas. Neither of my miatas are black.

You crashed that pretty green NB?!?

OK . . . probation period.

Seriously though, in a couple of decades we're really going to miss these cars.

Is that a cage or roll bar in the black car? Looks nice.

I have to say the green car looked nice, too bad it's gone.

Regarding your power goals, no matter what you decide, just make sure it involves installing a turbo on your miata.

And to answer your question, when I ran 28 PSI with a turbo I broke pistons. Now I break Superchargers. Just got it back from Whipple actually...

EDIT: Techincally, now I break pistons and superchargers. Before, only pistons.

I dont mind a name change!
It's a Blackbird Fabworx 4pt single diagonal, thank you. I really like it.
I work and school a lot so it's hard to do real power mods without having some off time.. it will come in time though
I'm trying to get my hands on ms2/ms3 soon and a 99 head.

How much was the roll bar?

I turbo'd my 99 when I was in school. Worked and saved up some money, bought used parts as they were available, did a lot of research and eventually built a DIY turbo setup. Mine was reliable* and fun.

*Reliable given the budget and my tools/knowledge at the time.

No worries.
They are Konig Flatouts in a discontinued bronze: 15x8 et25 with 205/50/15.
replicas of Volk CE28 or CE28N or something.
I think Good-Win Racing sells them and a variety of similar Konig wheels.

This. Maybe after you drive my car in a couple weeks it will help steer you that-a-way.
