Creeping noob from Cali :)
Hey what's up guys. Finally decided to make an account after lurking on the forums here for awhile. A little about my self:
I'm 27, live in the central valley of California. Currently in school majoring in computer information systems, computer tech, computer networking, and medical, as well as in the process of becoming a CHP. Backyard mechanic, and hardly nobody touches any of my cars, or the cars that belong to the closer people around me but me. It's hard to find legit, trustworthy mechanics nowadays where I live.
I drive a '99 Sport Miata Emerald Mica green. 5 Speed. This is my first Miata I've owned. (came from the honda/import world). I've built and owned quite a few cars, mainly imports. From a 1982 track/daily driven Toyota Starlet up to a 2003 Eclipse GT. I've built a few street cars such as a '95 Civic Si hatchback with a built GSR 1.8 block and a b16 1.6 head with GSR internals. Also a few H22 accords and civics. I've owned a couple 4x4 jeep Cherokees as well (I don't like the wranglers much lol). I just love cars in general.
Any who, my Miata is stock, but won't be forever. Here's a list of current mods (not many) as well as a list of future mods in no specific order.
What's been done:
-Full LED sequential tail lights
-Swiss cheese airbox mod
-Gas shock upgrade
-Lowered on Eibach springs
-Ported rear deck for system (currently not in the car)
What will be done (hopefully soon):
-HID Retrofit Bi-Xenon
-Front LED blinkers (waiting to the retro to do it all at once)
-LED license plate lights (just being lazy on that one as I have everything to build them)
-LED front side markers and make the rear side markers functional led as well
-M62 homebrew supercharger using Kompressor supercharger
-Wheels and full suspension
-Hardtop (not really a mod, more like an addition)
-Exhaust (custom when I get the time)
-Roll bar
-COP's when I do more research on the dwell issues.
That's pretty much all I can think of right now.. I'll be sure to create some threads when I start modding more!
See you guys around!!

Welcome, denraweb. Check out the Miata Gallery and post up some pics!
Of course! Lol
Oh and the things I have done so far only ran me about a couple hundred :P

As for the tail lights... I like being original (somewhat in this case), and I had a bunch of LED's left over from a different project so I decided to put them to use.

But will my tail lights alone, I think it's somewhat better... They are brighter and more noticeable, and I built them in a way that they shine the light in a manner that is visible from both the rear and the side of the car and everything in between (each row of leds is positioned at a different angle).
I'm just not a big fan of appearance mods for the sake of appearances, for the most part. FYI, the slammed/stretched look gets little respect here because it makes the car handle worse and the residents here are primarily performance and track oriented. Handling is one thing the car does very well.
Props on maintaining a positive attitude during the Spanish Inquisition.
