hello, from sheffield england.

Hi all,
My names Chris, i live in the town of Sheffield, South Yorkshire in the north of England, and i'm a pipefitter welder, so enough about me and on to the car,

I own a 1991 Eunos Roadster 1.6 v-spec in british racing green with the tan leather interior,
i've owned the car around 3yrs, of which approx 2 of those its been turbo'd.

Had a run in a mates fi'd motor some time ago and was instantly convinced thats where i needed to be,

So...................... 3 months on i was turbocharged,

The install had to be done on a budget and was some what of a learning curve, the turbo of choice was a Mitsubishi TD04L, the donor car was a Subuaru WRX STI,
luckily as a pipefitter welder by profession, i was able to fabricate my own manifold and downpipe,
the installation has been through various stages, initially running on very low boost, then running with 5 injectors, the 5th working from a pressure switch, to where it is now,

Currently its got a dual feed fuel rail, AFPR, 1.8 injectors, boost gauge and controller, intercooler and the timing retarded.I've also replaced the clutch and flywheel with the 1.8 models, I took the car on a dyno/rolling road where the mechanic tweaked a few bits and bobs to give me the optimum performance for the set up, whilst still running safe and avoiding knock/detonation,

The car was set up with 7psi of boost and was putting out 170BHP, which i was more than pleased with for a DIY set up carried out on a minimal budget,

However, im now hooked on the power and need more, hence my visit to you guys, i know the way forward is an aftermarket ecu, and other various upgrades, hopefully i can find all the info i need here,

Welcome to the board. You need a new ECU, stronger clutch, big injectors, and more boost.

yes, thats the place, also the Artic Monkeys and Human League, there was a film in the late 90's based there called The Full Monty,
Used to be well known for producing steel, and coal mining, before Mrs Thatcher raped the country and put everyone out of work, but thats another story.

i'm only 30mins from what we call the peak district, miles of country roads, ideal for the roadster / miata.

ECU, bigger injectors and a boost controller, and you can put about 15 psi on that baby, giving you 200ish whp.
You'll probably notice the difference ;)

I also recommend swapping the clutch, and upgrading your diff if you're running on the small one.
Not sure what the Eunos had, but on the MX5 the differential before 1994 is a big pile of crap.
I popped mine when I was running on a stock engine..

Awesome intro post. Fabricate your own shit, thats manly.

Nice car. I'd do megasquirt built by Reverant (he's got a bunch for sale right now), then rx7 injectors and ACT clutch. Read up on this wiki page Brain made:
