well lads driving a 1.8 v spec fairly standard atm but i am plannin on turboin it so i will be asking a lot of qs on this so any help would be greatly appreciated

If you check out the "stickies" then you'll usually find most of what you want to know is there. This sickie is one you'll want to read before turboing, the first 3 in Meet and great (here) will help you out using the sight, and "useful saved posts" is something you should look into as well. Also, you should add details about your car in your "signature", like year, engine/trans, major modifications etc.
When you do ask a question about going turbo, you'll want to include your goals and stuff like that.
