Lol thanks y8s.

But anywho, I have a question about the DIYPNP. What would you guys recommend as far as running it standalone or parallel for my '99? I've been doing a lot of reading up on it and from what I've gathered parallel is the way to go but is an PITA to set up but standalone works great too and is a little easier to set up. I know that if I run it parallel I'll need to buy a harness, but that also it can sort of micro manage and take care of the fuel/spark and leave the stock EU for idle/AC. Am I right? A little advice would be nice. Lol

I think parallel vs stand alone has more to do with odb2 checks. Does you state inspection involve them scanning for codes?

Nope, I live in Arkansas and we don't do any kind of emissions checks so I'm pretty much free to do whatever until I move eventually. Lol

Y8s is succumbing to paternal urges. Age and marriage no doubt.

Looks like a decent setup. I'm guessing at 7.5 psi you're sitting around 150/160hp. Put it on a dyno and then turn it up.

Thanks! Thinking about getting it dyno'd before I upgrade to the DIYPNP and such actually so I can see where I'm starting from and to have the dyno sheets to tell the gain from the upgrade. I'm shooting for 220-230 at the wheels after turning the boost up and tune. Lol

It's going to be tough without a proper injector setup and maybe a bigger turbo, but it's possible. What size is your exhaust? If you upgraded to a 2.5 or 3" setup that would help. You're also going to need a boost controller if you don't have one.

Oh also, I used the AEM F/iC for a short time and it's actually a really good setup. It would let you run some bigger injectors, and pull some timing out. But a full stand alone is the best option.

Dustinb no can read thread? She already said she is upgrading to a 3" FM exhaust, and already has 2.5". I agree though that injectors and a ecu are needed.

I've got a Hallman Pro RX boost controller. I'm currently running an FM 2.5" turbo mid pipe with RB twin tip muffler. Upgrading to FMs full 3" turbo system within the next few months. Also going to RX7 460s in place of my still stock injectors. Question though: with sequential fuel injection, there's no real power gain, right? Debating if DIYPNP should have sequential injection control or not.

Sequential increases idle quality, but I don't think it really benefits power wise. Although if the 99 is already sequentially wired there is 0 reason you wouldn't continue to use it.

Also- who all does the DIYPNP bulding on here? I've PM'd Braineak but who else do I need to PM (if I do)? I'm needing to get the DIYPNP built, installed and tuned by July before Miatas at the Gap.

Thanks in advance

Eh, I was just guessing at the whp. Lol. Feels like more than it actually is because of the power/weight ratio
