Heya from Arizona

I recently purchased(in August) a 1992 Sunburst Yellow miata with 97Kmiles,
originally a North Carolina car(undercarriage is in pretty awesome condition for that origin)

First and foremost i plan on geting a hardtop for it before monsoon season comes around and my torn down back window lets the rain into my pretty dang condition interior

Secondly i want to start working on a turbo setup, ive looked at the greddy kit but i hear the manifold is very prone to cracks, although i found a link to a replacement one for the kit for 400ish dollars and ive also eyed the flyin miata voodoo kit

Ive been thinking about exhausts to prep for the turbo and i am currently considering a corksport "drift" exhaust or a Greddy Ti-C exhaust, my question is are these good exhausts/ good exhausts for turbo applications and if their not should i just pick a good universal muffler and have a exhaust done for me

Also ive been considering new wheels to replace my pretty frickin ugly american racing wheels (new Yokohama BK520's on them(just what the salesmen reccomended, im a newb w/ tires))
the current contenders are Kosei K1's or Eneki Rp-F1's both in a 15" so hopefully my current 3month old tires will fit them (thats if i get them soonish) again what do you guys think about these choices in wheels

There's something wrong with your headlamps. You should take a look at it.

My greddy kit ended up being pretty awesome after enough time and money was thrown at it. If you're happy with 150 whp or so, then go for it. If you are going to want more power, start with the BEGi-S kit.

na, nothing wrong, i have it setup so they stop there when the lights are off for a "sleepy" headlight look, its more common with 240sx's but i personally like the look

There is a new top for 149.00 on ebay right now. I just bought one. LOL

If you get alot of rain in that car, it will mildew and mold. I had one once like that. I had extreme headaches in it. I had to sell it.

That car is too nice to let that happen too. Check out enthuza exhaust too.
If you are going new i would go begi. If you are buying used for $600-800 the greddy kit is great. But if you are springing $1500 +. go for the begi. And if you are springing voodoo price, you can get the begi with a divorced down pipe (or cutch), and mspnp! And mabe a wideband.

I have about 1500-2000 in my modified greddy kit, including 700 bucks for the turbo upgrade and 19T wheel, 2.5" exhaust, downpipe, injectors, etc. The only piece that is 'stock' is the manifold.

Piecing together a kit FTW.

Both of those exhausts actuall look decent. For $500, the 80mm works out to 3", which is as big as you need to go. I'd have to hear one in person before I decided... and the Greddy has the can mounted right in front of the tip, so you have to decide you're looking for the "supra ricer" look.

I couldn't find a BK520 Yoko tire, but I did find the YK520, and it's a piece of ****. The salesman recommended that to you because it was probably the only thing he had that fit.

For all season performance, the Falken ZEIX-912 can't be beat for the price.

Get at least a 7" rim... 7.5" is better. The only 15x8 you'll be able to afford is the 949Racing 6UL at $150 each when they have them in stock.

Tires are a huge decision, just do some searching around here... a title search for the word TIRE will probably help you our.

ya its the yk, my bad, and since i live in central az do i really need all season tires or should i have them just in case

i just cant get out of my mind thinking that all season = snow rain and dry conditions, or am i wrong and its just rain/dry conditions?

Hello fellow noob,

I'm V, and I live in the Tempe/Mesa area. I run summer tires on almost every car I own year round, and DOT slicks on others... They're fine in the rain so long as you're not driving like a retard. You do not need all-season tires here unless you plan on driving up North where it snows.
