hey, nooby from norfolk va

hey my name is justin. i bought my 90 miata 4 years ago not knowing what i was getting into. i started my build when i found out that my car had a bad short nose crank. my friend dave at ddm works took me under his wing and helped me get started. ive been slowly building it since. now im here trying to take in the wealth of knowledge. thanks to all for your post they have been very helpful.

Welcome, I'm kinda new too, but the people here are great, and very helpfull. Take your time and read things out. If you have a question ask it, but make sure its a good one! Oh FYI for great ifno on startin your project start with reading this VERY well. Go to the search tab and type in DIY FaQ. That has a LOT of helpful tips. Good Luck!!!

thanks ill try that out. yeh it didnt take me long to figure out to be careful when posting after reading a few threads. posting the wrong thing can make things get pretty ugly, and way off topic.

I don't know it all, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve, and will be able to get you on your way to boost without boom.

im still a little ways from boost. i want to build my engine first. and i need to get some tuning experience with ms. hopefully it want be to much longer though im getting realy tired of driving a 100hp miata. i want to shoot for atleast 300 hp.

There are alot of VA guys on here, I'm sure one of them wouldn't mind giving you a ride. I think 220 whp in a miata is ideal and can be done without breaking the bank. 300whp it starts to get expensive, but it looks like you already have the drivetrain to handle it.

Welcome.

I'm in chesapeake :)

I'm on bandaids + greddy but going MS soon :) lol (i've been saying that for months)

yes 220 is nice. i got a ride from john finger in his na miata a few years ago befor it got totaled. he did a run to 80 and it got there in no time. it was a very nice setup. but since my motor is a bit high milage ima build it with better internals maybe do a 2.0 build so im going to expect more out of it.
