Default New(ish) 92 miata in the 503(Portland)

Hey im Alex im a proud new owner of a 1992 Miata, this is the second one ive owned becasue my 93 got ranover by a F350 and split the Head on my block. Not to mention the Front Clip. IM a college Student and in all my free time i got this barn find of a 92 running again after changing all the Consumables and the cooling system. Wideband and Megasquirt have been installed and now its Turbo time!

Fun fact i went to set my ignition timing and the timing mark on the crank says its 2 degrees retarded from TDC but the engine is fine. When i went to change it int Mega-squirt my engine almost died for good any thoughts?
Am i looking at some random Scratch on the Pulley?

Welcome, did you follow these steps to set your timing?

I did follow those steps on my first attempt but I couldn't set them correctly.

Whatt do i do if my sparks are firing with correct timing but they physical marks are way off?

If you could not set the timing correctly then your sparks commanded ignition timing is not the same as your actual ignition timing. You need to set your timing correctly.

Verify TDC against pulley. If it's off, get a new crank pulley.
