Hi Miata Turbo!

Hi guy, I'm Marco(Bollo):noob: from Italy (Salento if you ever heard), I'm the owner of an 00 mx-5 Anniversary, I'm coming directly from mx-5 Italia Forum, I'd like to improve my(car's) performance :jerkit: with a supercharger, so I think this must be the right place!

maybe this is the right moment to improve my poor english too :vash:

Hey welcome to the board. What you really want is a turbo.

Your English is better than my Italian. ;) Nice looking car.

Welcome. Unfortunate to hear about the supercharger. Real men use a turbo. lol

Maybe I'm a Pussy...XD

ok...seriously I don't want to open the engine, so SC it's the right compromise...or not?

FRT_Fun 04-11-2011 08:26 AM

You can make good power on the stock engine (assuming it's healthy) with the correct mods using a turbo. Turbo = Win.

Welcome, your English is better than a lot of our native speaker n00bs who ought to know better.

You can blow your engine equally well with a supercharger if you have a poor tune. Invest in good management and you'll be golden.

Tell us, what's the emissions situation in Italy?

I love turbo, but I've already buyed and installed a fujitsubo(header-midpipe-exhaust), exhaust line, and it will be a pity to get(?) back to the stock line, I know that an SC sounds like a washing machine :noob:, but I don't want to spend too much money, I'd like to close this story with 2000€ (2800$), I'm buying a megasquirt, is it the right choice?
:crx:

Yes Megasquirt will give you the ability to tune your fuel and timing as needed for either forced induction setup you decide to go with. As long as you keep your eye on a wideband air fuel ratio gauge and monitor knock you can sit back and enjoy the scenary after tuning on those without worrying about your engine blowing up. There is tons of info here so read away ! send us some pizza pie and salsa motzarella !
