hi all
hi all,
I'm corrado, from italy.
I had a supercharged NBFL miata, I'm now starting a new project of a turbo NA, starting from a 1.8l engine in EU specs (135HP at the crank in stock configuration).
I currently drive a Z3 M Roadster BMW (321HP in EU), but I didn't recover from the miata-disease!
projects like turboing a miata are so hard here (no parts, no know-how, no nothing!), so I will need all your help.
I'm currently looking for the right car and investigating which turbo kit and engine management will work for me, so the details about my car are there just for registration, but are actually a wishlist.
nice to meet you all,
cc

Welcome to the forum. Are you wanting a complete kit, or to build up your own?
If you want a complete kit, I would look to Begi (bell performance engineering) or Flying Miata. They are proven, great service, and bolt up.
Begi has the cheapest start out kit. It has the large downpipe, good turbo, and a all around good platform.
But if your going all the way at the start, and not worried about $$$$, I would look into both of them.

thanks todd,
I'm for a pre-fab kit of a "good-to-top" level, still with a budget-minded approach.
also consider all the complications that I have in having the extra hassle of importing the stuff here, that is partly solved because me and/or friends of mine are sometimes in the US and can take care of bringing the stuff here.
I'm actually considering begi and FM kits and MSPNP and hydra management: for sure that is not the cheapest approach, but I want something that works and so I want to stay on a safe ground.

I have a list of wines you can send me if you're bored.
Aside from one minor issue I'm dealing with now, that no one else has, my MS and BEGi kit has worked well. I don't think my problem is MS related.
