Hi from VA
Yo sup.
I'm Shawn from Norfolk, VA. I've owned two miata's so far, currently have a 1990 Miata thats basically stock (hawk pads, rollbar, azenis') that is my track car. Looking to turbo the miata, hopefully make a track reliable 200whp car, havent set in stone what route I'm going to go yet to make that. I have a list of parts that I'm currently modifying and updating that will eventually be what I do, but its not finalized yet. Wealth of information here though, so its helping make the decision easier for sure. 1990 Miata, 183k miles -Hawk HP+ pads all around -Goodridge stainless steel brakelines all around -BMW Bottlecaps with 195/70/14 Azenis' all around Um... here's some pics of my car First: The old car http://i48.tinypic.com/2ecd6gz.jpg Now, the current track slut: http://www.catesracing.com/flp/nasa/...1/IMG_2954.JPG http://i49.tinypic.com/2j2z05c.jpg http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/2230/hyperfest3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...5/DSC_0452.jpg |
Here's the current running list of what I'm planning. This will not be done until next track season, which gives me time to acquire all of the parts.
BEGI 1.6l S4 starter kit $1726.90 -mild steel tubular manifold -Garrett GT2560 turbo -mild steel downpipe Oil line kit (ARTech @ miataturbo.net) $ 37.00 Oil drain kit (ARTech) $ 47.00 Coolant Line Kit (ARTech) $ 120.00 FC RX7 NA injectors (eBay) $ 100.00 Walbro 255gph Fuel pump (eBay) $ 100.00 Megasquirt PNP $ 730.00 intercooler (ebay) $ 150.00 radiator $ 180.00 -Mishimoto ACT 6 puck clutch $350.00 |
If you get a 2560, you will want a bigger one in no time.

Skip the ACT 6 puck clutch and just get an FM1 clutch. Will hold as much and pedal feel will be much easier.
Next make sure you are getting inconel studs either from Begi or TSE. Or if you really want track reliable, just go with V-Bands now. |
