Hope I placed this post in the correct place

Looks like a very tough bunch, sure hate to make a mistake here posting something. Building my first forced induction car in my 50 years of building and racing. Trying to learn the MSPNP 9093 and I am having a hard time with it. Been to long since college days and trying to stay focused on instruction. Please be patient with me, or I will call in an Air Strike..

Utter...

You went to college and you used "to" instead of "too"? Way to go Dom Mazzetti:

Seriously though, welcome. Post info and possibly pics about your car/ setup.

Wow, my first post and I get jumped. Geez.

dieselmiata 07-28-2013 11:01 PM

Post pictures of cats to make up for it and all will be forgiven.

thirdgen 07-28-2013 11:01 PM

That wasn't a jump...that was a sarcastic, comedic welcome. You don't want to find out what being jumped is, trust me. If you were a mouse in a rattlesnake den, you'd feel better.

sixshooter 07-28-2013 11:33 PM

Pensacola or Eglin?

Welcome to the forum! What are your plans for the car?

Do you want to do track days anytime soon?

Hehe. Welcome aboard, Utter.

There are a couple of other (non-Miata) forums which I participate in, and when I see things on them like people being polite to one another and users not hazing newbs, I feel sort of warm and cuddly inside, and am reminded of just how good we have it here at MT.

:D

Sorry. I can get a little out-of-hand when I haven't had my Bourbon yet.

thirdgen 07-29-2013 09:14 AM

I think this guy may have been a little on the way to sensitive side. Where did he go?

You're either with US, or THE ENEMY.

Choose wisely.

Thanks for the welcome, both friendly and others. No softy here. Combat VET. and on heavy medication. VA is good. I'm also from Oklahoma, moved to LA 3 years ago when the Air Guard said I could retire. Just want to get the 93 turbo MSMPNP with AEM failsafe working. I am not familiar with all this new stuff. Where are the carbs, distributor?? My Son has the Smurf 92 and is doing very well in the NE SCCA solo stuff. Me I'm a road-racer. Sure would like to have a program I could load and just go for the MS.

It should come with a basemap and there is an autotune feature in Tuner Studio (one of the programs you can use to manipulate the MS) that tunes your fuel map to match your desired air/fuel ratio. You just turn it on and drive the car around and it will fine tune your VE (fuel) map.

You will still need to do some manual fine tuning of your idle settings, just like when setting a new carb on an engine.

Thanks Brain. I don't get on here much but hope to contribute something to the cause.

Thank you Sir. I am still in the study stage so as to understand the MS.

dieselmiata 08-16-2013 12:22 PM

I still don't see any pictures of cars or cats...

Photos have been uploaded for your viewing pleasure!
Max is inspecting the new brakes for Smurf here. Cracker's first week at her new home, and just a little device to ward off evil doers.

Welcome, I'm in Navarre/fort walton area

sixshooter 08-18-2013 07:47 PM

Road Atlanta, Roebling Road, Sebring, Barber Motorsports Park, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Daytona, Palm Beach International Raceway, and you are probably close enough to go to the new one in New Orleans.
