Howdy

Hello everyone!
I used to have a 1995 240sx with SR20DET and GT35R turbo on 22lbs daily.
I sold it about a month ago, and now I wanna build a Miata, when I get out of BMT.

Orlando, FL resident.
I drove in a friends Miata and I fell in love with them.

I look forward to asking a ton of noob questions and not using the search at all. :) Hope you guys don't mind if i repost and resurrect old threads.

I do have two noob questions, how much hp can a stock tranny handle safely and how much boost can stock internals take?

NA6C-Guy 02-12-2009 05:40 AM

Welcome.

Trans can handle 1,000,000 tq, boost has no limits, maybe a trillion...

Post more info on your location and car. Things might go just fine.

Maybe we could make the first email from the admin's force people to read the new members guide :-)

Welcome to the forum...to answer your questions 1. Stock tranny is glass on the 1.6L, but you need to specify year so we can answer better than that 2. Once again...depends on year.

perhaps he was being sarcastic...

welcome pleab!

boardboy330 02-12-2009 07:46 AM

It's possible...like Direct Exhaust Injection.

I wasn't answering the questions for him...I'm waiting for another noob to pop in and think this is a real conversation - that would be a f*cking treat :-)

+1. He says it because those years are the only 1.8L OBDI Miatas ;)

BTW, welcome aboard. We like getting people who have some kind of previous knowledge.
