1 year (less a week) update report.
So I was writing down my mileage log today and realized it was about 1 year ago flew to a town 8 hours away and drove my Miata home. Thats what you have to do to get deals on NB's in Canada as the pricing in way out to lunch up here.
In the first 30 days I changed every fluid in the car including brake fluid, picked up a new rear caliper, front hub and put on a MSM muffler so I could get some cheap sound out of it. Clay barred, polish, sealed and waxed it.
Then I waited and learned here and watched the ads for a Turbo kit, and saved my pennies.
Winter came and so did winter tires/rims.
All the while minivans and SUV's would beat me from stop lights until braking or a corner came, fun but so under the cars potential.
Picked up a roll bar, wheels and suspension in spring.
Then Finally in July I installed a 2560/log/Xede/IC kit and loved it. Then 2 months later had a 3" exhaust installed and now love it even more.
This site helped with all that and then some.
Future plans are sell the Xede and go MS3 with a built engine and run the 2560 higher psi then get a bigger turbo. Maybe a goal of 275 whp.
This site is like a really hard class at a school that has a rep for producing learned students and not allowing for fluff or excuses: You need a prerequisite, don't annoy the professor, listen and ask appropriate questions. Teaching style can be harsh at times and you need to put in the extra curricular effort but the results are straight A's and a Turbo Diploma.
I'm still getting B's but I'm a 1st year student............... I din't drop out and the knowledge I have is staying with me.
Thanks to all that helped on here!
