Im back

Been here a while back, then disapeared for 2 years maybe 3. Pulled my 2005 MSM out of storage 2 weeks ago and ready to play with getting it going again. Last thing I did was Fully built the engine with Eagle rods and wesco pistons, balanced the crank and a few other things. I had to park for a while untill my job situation settled. I finally think im in a good spot to start wrenching again and enjoying the MX5. Mean while I picked up a 2013 Club Edition with a Rotrex SC installed and a few other nice mods. Probably going to sell both due to lots of road construction going on in my area. Still on the fence on that part. Hate to see my cars get tore all to hell over all crumy road work. Just dropped in to say Hi and I'm back.

Huh? You are selling both cars, but you're back? Where do you live?

apalac01 05-30-2017 09:11 PM

Live in Fort Worth, drive to work 1 way 80 miles

Chilicharger665 05-30-2017 11:23 PM

So you are keeping the MSM, but selling the 2013? What Rotrex kit is on the 2013?

80 miles of road work? We had some repaving and new pipes being laid in the neighborhood a few years ago, I just raised the ride height to avoid scraping those metal plates they lay down.

Seangh 160 miles a day 80 is just 1 way. Both my cars are lowered but not slammed dodging road obstacles to save my front end and wheels is getting old. Last run in with My 05 MSM and road work ended up with me footing the bill for 4 new tires and 4 bent wheels (bought 4 new wheels and tires). 4am all lanes were shut down to 1 lane very common at that hour on the hi-ways around here and I ran over a hump going to work maybe 1'' taller than the actual road way. They managed to cut a 4 foot wide section out of the road (concrete) and it covered across all 4 lanes on both sides east and west bound lanes. After working a 10 hour shift I started home thinking I was going to feel a 1'' hump similar to them plates you mentioned. I ended up dropping 2'' and after going 4feet, hitting the hard edge at 50mph. Pulled over along side with several other drivers that already hit the edge and were changing tires. Seen sliced side walls and 3 wheels were damaged pretty good, 4th was told to be out of round. Looking at the filler it was Black top and was compacted so much by the traffic through out the day it was no longer a 1'' hump. took pictures of the damage and brought repair estimates and cost of new tires to city hall since it was a city project. was told it a DOT matter since it happened on the hi-way, they gave me a good run around and pointed back to the city, after 6 months of getting no where I gave up. Costing me money loss from missing work, cost for replacement wheels n tires, and time to run around. Wasn't worth it.

Chillicharger if you know KingJason the car was his at 1 time. 2013 club edition PRHT Sport auto with the Kraftwerks Supercharger from TDR test car. This was made before the kit was made, BOV I think is Forge polished aluminum, bigger intake pipes, bigger intercooler, 44t pulley instead of 40t, thicker brackets. I ordered the new parts that were available with the kit (2 pulley's w/guides) and installed for maintenance free drivability. Good-Win-Racing p/n 61-1497-B, fits 06-14 MX-5 kit is very similar to what is on the car. I tried to look up the kit that was on Kraftwerksusa.com but is discontinued now.

As for selling I am still debating but if I do sell it will be both. Had a 99 7.3L Turbo Diesel F250 that I still miss to this day and a guy at work is talking about selling his 2000 7.3L F350 4x4 6speed with manual 4x4, but not sure yet. If he dose I would need to sell both to cover the cost.

Yeah, that is exactly what car I thought it was, given your location. I would be interested except for that auto. Yuck.
