Hello, my name is Cameron. I'm from Colorado Springs, Colorado and I love miatas.

About 8 months ago I bought a beat up 91 miata for 1200 bucks. Had holes in the soft top, missing a seat, none of the locks worked, winshield wiper spray didn't work. Pop ups didn't work, and it was super low on rice land coilovers. Some how though it still ran. Over the next month I installed a light weight flywheel, dual core aluminum radiator, a welded diff and matching seats. It had the manual rack so I decided to do an ac delete for a cleaner looking bay. This turd was the funnest car I had ever owned and i had fallen in love with the easy to work on fun to drive miata.

Since then, however, I joined the Marine Corps. I sold my miata the day before I left for boot camp. Currently I'm at fort leonard wood (lost in the woods) Missouri awaiting training. So no, at this moment I don't own a miata.. It breaks my heart every day. BUT as soon as I find out where I'm getting stationed (crossing my fingers for camp Pendleton) I'm getting myself another na miata.

So that's my story. If you made it this far, thank you. And I'm sorry. I only have one question though, is there any way I can find forums strictly for na models?

If you do get Pendleton, you'll love the place. I lived in Carlsbad for 8 years, and it's just phenomenal.

How's the drift scene there? Do you know? In colorado it was real chill. Enough people to keep it tight but not so many that you have to wait on hour for a two minute run.

No idea at all.

There's an extremely healthy AutoX scene consisting of multiple clubs which jointly run weekly sessions at Qualcomm Stadium, but I frankly couldn't give less of a shit about drifting.

I would think that Cali is the epicenter of the drift scene in the US, but no idea really.

You're going to love the base auto hobby shop. Lifts, air tools, etc.

Don't know of any NA-only forums. NA and NB are basically the same car, so . . . .
