Time for the introduction
Hey everyone, my name is Sean and I reside in the super car friendly state of California. My experience with motorsports started back in 2002 when I took a ride along with my brother in his nationally winning SCCA CRX. After that I knew as soon as I got my license I'd want to do this.
My father had a Miata back when I was a young teen and I remember learning to drive it in the parking lot. He subsequently sold it and ended up in a very boring Saturn. I knew I wanted to get a Miata way back then. In 2003 I was diagnosed with a rare cancer and just about everything went on hold. After it went into remission I was finally allowed to go back to school and through highschool my time for getting a license was not soon enough.
Finally when I got my license, I picked up a 240sx. Got it from the original owner; it only had 86,000 miles on it and was a 5spd. I rocked this car through highschool and when I graduated I finally stepped up to a BMW Z3. When I got the Z3 I got very involved with the BMWCCA and autocrossed regularly. In 2008 I had a relapse of the cancer and had to go back in for treatment. After 3 years with the BMW I finally let it go so my expenses could be cut down.
I went on the hunt for the right Miata. I knew I wanted a cheap way to race and I had time on my side. I finallly found a 1992 Miata on autotrader after months of searching. Original owner, 84,000 miles, full suspension and rollbar. I drove up to the guy in north county and made an offer. He declined, I left knowing I needed to find a car soon, the DD was boring me to death. He called 7AM the next morning accepting my offer and I picked up the car. So here is a few picture.
The mod list included; Hard Dog Harcore H2 Hardtop Rollbar, Hollow Spokes, 1.8L front brakes, Borla Exhaust, Bipes ACU, Koni Adjustables, FM Springs, Eibach Front & Rear Sways, ACT Clutch. Most importantly, adult owned and only 84,000 miles.
Now that I have been finished with treatment and things are going good with my health. It is time to mod the car since I have had a season of autocross with it as it sits. The plan is to sell the Bipes, buy a Brain built DIYPNP and learn to tune. Since I need to have the CARB EO, I'll be sourcing a sr20 t25 and sending it to begi and ordering their S1 kit with intercooler.
