Here's my intro
Hey guys,
Finlly decided to get around to sharing my build somewhere so I thought nowhere better than here . Work in progress though so don't expect to see a finished product tomorrow , haha .
little about myself , I'm a father of two boys and we recently found out we are having a third . Probably a boy . Also have a puppy and a turtle .i work at a trams shop rebuild diffs Monday through Friday . Don't do it haha . Seriously boring and a useless skill . On the plus side I do have access to several large hot tanks , a couple lathes , sandblasters and all sort of other stuff .
I had a 91 Miata that I bought for a little over 1k . That lasted about three months and then my crank pulley bolt pulled the threads out of the crank going down the highway . So I figured if I have to replace a crank I might as well start my build . Then in June I broke my arm and had to sell the shell . Insert sadface here . So now I've decided to build my motor and trans and then find a shell to drop it in .
The plan is to turbo and shoot for 250-300 horse . No idea if I'll hit that or not but you gotta risk it to get the biscuit . I know very little about turbos though so I hope to learn a lot . I know a decent amount , but Often second guess myself .
Hope that didn't run to long and got everything covered . If not too bad I guess , has .
Heres the mock up of the motor to make sure I have all the bolts and little extras I need before I quit this job and lose access to all the goodies haha.
