Thumbs up Noob with a new project car.

Hey my name is K.C. I am 19 years old and currently attending Wyotech for Collision Repair and Refinishing (with plans to take interior design heavy duty chassis fabrication, and street rod and custom fabrication.) I just bought a cheep 1995 Miata from a guy with no mechanical background, and the body/interior is in great condition!... The only catch is as of right now it is not running... (no spark in any of the cylinders could just need the ignition switch cleaned or changed possibly a broken timing belt. Already ruled out the coil packs..) It’s also is way to stock, and way too boring for me (hints the project part about the car.) I plan to turbo it but need to get her running strong first, look into what I can get away with since I do live in California and want it to be street legal. Im going to start with some suspension mods and minor interior/ safety equipment wile I research getting some more power. Well thanks for reading! Sorry I’m not a good speller!

Here are my Vehicular devices

Im going for something like this... Sorry if this is your image.

Thumbs up

Thanks man yeah my overall goal as of now is to get my Miata to be able to smoke the doors off my Diesel instead of being towed around by it.... ha. As for the super slammed *** dragging blue miata… well I agree but I like the color. And as if you care I figured out the timing belt snapped so I ordered a new one. One step closer to turbo

Yup no spark was only one of the symptoms it was having including no compression whatsoever so I pulled the valve cover and took a peak, sure enough the belt had snapped. The ignition system runs off one of the cams (driver side?). That’s my understanding anyways.

Yes I agree, I have been laughing my *** off at your guys sarcasm and "crudeness" but I find sarcasm is a tell tale sign of intelligence. I have already raped this sight for tones of information anyways so if i have to put up with a few dickbags it’s worth it!
