I'm new to turbo Miata but I like you guys already. Im sponsored by Konig wheels and I currently run their new dial in 15x9 flow form rim on my race car.
I would like to know is any one has tried them or is considering trying them? Attached below is a picture of my car with them. |
Sexy!
Love the hood prop :) Working a deal with local Miata club member to buy his Konig Wideopens 15X8 w/ 205/50 Toyo's on them. Will need meat and footprint when I get my turbo Miata back from Bell Engineering, a sponsor of this site. Love the look on your car though |

Just so you know the wide opens are heavy yet relatively inexpensive. I loved them when I ran them on my car but mounting stiff sidewall tires it was a biiiitch |
Yeah, I've read that to mount stiff tires, it should be done upside down for some reason (per Goodwin Racing website)
My '01 stockers (16"X6.5") weight in at 16+ lbs, the 15X8 Konig is 13.4, a better trade up for sure, or down, however you look at it My car will have 225~ whp/ 210~tq when it gets finished, will pretty much overwhelm the stock rubber...Cooper Zeon ZPT or something like that. |
So they sponsored you, so you come on here and create several threads to talk them up?
I see. |

I see. No harm in letting the population know what I know about the rim company |
The rim company? Lol.
|
the fact that they make cool looking wheels for a good price is pretty cool
I own a set. the fact that they knock off others' designs and basically everything else is not cool. so no, not cool company. Crappy company. But most of us dont care, cause we like the wheels |
Vlad prop count is SIX-SIX-SIX. LOL.
Running the Avanti Storms (really similar wheel) on my Red car and they've held up well so far. |
Welcome to the site jandjracing_58, thanks for joining up!

I bring to the table only what I know. |

It really depends on the wheel whether you mount tires upside down or not.. |
