Long time lurker, first time poster
 

Hi All,

I've been using the site for a couple years as an excellent resource for research and it's helped me out a ton. I recently got my Miata up and running with a T25 turbo so I figured it was time to create an actual account.

The build so far:
1999 Miata (Roadster Edition - a weird dealer package with a base model but power steering, AC and Katskinz leather seats)
Flyin Miata Koni suspension and anti-roll bars
Hard Dog Hard Core Roll Bar
T25 ISR 240sx replacement turbo w/ a knock off taco taco manifold
Flyin miata 2.5" exahust
Front high-mount intercooler
MS2PNP
Mishimoto radiator
Stock wheels and Kuhmo Ecsta summer tires

I'm running around 10 psi and haven't dyno'd yet, but I'm somewhere in the 180-200 WHP and it's a blast. My overall goal with the car is a bit of Stock+, with overall Miata characteristics still there, just turned up a bit for more fun.

These are the " Roadster Edition" seats. A little worse for the wear after 21 years.

Nice -- I can definitely say I've never seen those seat covers before w/ the stitching on the headrest. Looks like you have some great space to work!

Thanks! The garage is also a work in progress, but it's a heck of a lot better than working in an apartment parking lot which is what I did for the first couple years of owning the car. I've been super thankful for having a garage to work in.

How do you like the isr turbo? journal bearing right? curious how it spools.

The ISR turbo is decent. It's essentially a 2554 with journal bearings. Full spool to 10 PSI is between 3500 and 4000 rpm depending on gear for full throttle stuffs. For any sort of spirited driving, it has good enough throttle response that I don't notice any difference to stock. The main reason I went with it was that I could get it, a set of EV14 injectors, intercooler "kit", manifold and downpipe all for $500. Including the MS2, full 2.5in exhaust, and all the other misc stuff I was able to turbo for a little less than $2000.

Which FM kit did you go with? 2560 or 2554?

Originally i had the gt2560. It was fun but didn't had the top end i was looking for. Just picked up a gt2971r to go with the 1.9L motor i have being built. Should still spool pretty quick and just keep pulling.
