Default New from Oregon

I am new here. My name is Del. I have two Miatas. One is Red. What's left of the other Miata is currently aluminum and steel color, but will be painted / powdercoated soon. It's kind of hard to explain what I'm doing with the project car, so here are some pictures. Not finished, but getting closer. Yes, it has a turbo, megasquirt, bigger injectors, that stuff....I have turbo questions.....they will follow.

Thanks guys. I'm down by Salem in Keizer. Hoping to have the car back together within a couple weeks and go to the World of Speed coffee thing on a Saturday or something.

That thing looks right out of mad max. Since you can't pump your own gas in Oregon, I'm thinking you should get a CB with a loudspeaker, and a hockey mask. Every time you need a fill up, put the mask on, stand up in the car, and declare over the loudspeaker: "we're just here for the gasoline".

Did you build the mad max one? Or is it a kit? Looks kind of excocet ish.

I designed and built the mad max looking one from the ground up. It's almost done. I spent a lot of time looking at the exocet. It's a lot like the exocet in that it has a tube frame chassis, but I added a lot of structure in the front and rear of the car. I also had to design my own body panels, since I don't do fiberglass. My car would not keep up with an Exocet because I used heavy tubing, and a lot more of it. Exomotive was kind enough to sell me fenders and wheels though. The exocet is a very cool car, that's what inspired me. Don't want to take anything away from them.....
