Default Hey from Scotland

Hi All,

I've been a lurker on this site for months now, and finally thought I'd get round to registering. I'm running a 94 NA8C Eunos Roadster, and with all the info I read here I've turbo'd it. Here are some specs:

BEGI kit, GT2554R, Divorced SS Downpipe, 2.5" Exhaust, Decat, 550's, LC1, MSPNP with LC and EBC setup @ ~14-15psi.

Here is a picture of the car. Ignore the date on the camera; it was actually summer 08.

Since the photo was taken I've added a polished Carbing 4 point roll bar and swapped the standard and bucket seat for two S2 Lotus Elise seats. .... Oh and pink / red lug nuts

I've put the car off the road for winter, and hope to have it back around March when the weather improves. Plans for the inbetween time include polybushing the car and buying / fitting some nice new Gaz coilovers.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and thank you guys for all the info over the past few months. I look forward to speaking to you all.

I've not taken a photo of the seats yet now that they're installed. It's not the best picture in the world, but here is one from the for sale ad. They're very lightweight. I can easily hold them at arms length with one hand. I'd guess they're around 6kg each:

And a couple more taken from my bebo site. Sorry for the quality / small size:

And finally a pic just before the turbo was fitted:

Very nice. Did the whole thing and then posted! Take that Hustler. he he he...

What is that strut bar and what are the seats? Haven't seen either before. The seats look like a great fit to the Miata and obviously light is good. I've got a 94 also. If you are pushing 14-15 psi you must be making very good power with that system. Fun isn't it!

It's always amazing to me to see how much smaller the Miata is than other "small" cars in your pic. (Small by US standards. We don't get most of the truly small cars you can get over there! )

EDIT: I'm an idiot and missed you saying the seats were from a lotus.

Clean car. First pic is awesome. More pics would be nice. Looks like a solid build though.

Very nice. Welcome. I raced a Scotsman's MX5. Recognize that paint scheme?

Hah, is that a Scot living in the US now? I presume thats a Miata, and he didn't actually ship his MX5 from Scotland?? Either way, its a pretty good way of advertising where you're from.

Yeah, he's in the states and got the car here. Though it was sold and now repainted, but it lives on photos.

How difficult was it to fit the elise seats?

Fitting the elise seats was a bit of a pain in the *** to be honest. The passenger side was ok because it doesn't come mounted on runners. Its a case of drilling 4 holes in the floorpan and bolting it in. The drivers seat is a little bit more difficult. I drilled two holes so keep the front runners secure and two at the back, then used threaded rod and combination of washers and nuts to get the seat to the correct height.

I'm not 100% happy with the drivers seat. I might take it out and look at a way of mounting it onto the runners from the original MX5 seat.

I'm itching to tax and insure the car to put it back on the road, and after sitting on axle stands for two months, it's nice to see her back on the ground. New seats and roll bar pictured below. Excuse the shitty quality of the pictures. Blame the camera phone!

I really can't wait for summer to arrive, I'm tired of freezing my ***** off in this weather!
