Hi guys, Jeff in Redmond Oregon. Recent new 323 GTX owner. Looking for info on the Miata lsd for the rear of my car and some direction for tuning my turbo mazda.

Welcome! What info on Miata LSDs do you need? What type of ECU are you tuning said 323 with?
|
Easiest tuning for it is a chipped/pretuned ecu honestly. Otherwise you are looking at a full Megasquirt conversion for it.
Rocketman on the 323 board (which I know you are on) sells them apparently. Supposed to be better than the old, no longer made Reich chips/reflashes. Rearend will take the 90-93 1.6l mazda miata oriented lsds. Mine has the Mazdaspeed diff in it... fun stuff. |
I had the Reich chip in my GTX. noticed zero difference.

:p Welcome, btw. |
Stock ECU with a 30 dollar ELPROTO chip on the way. Its too bad we cant use a mas translator with the oe mass air sensor. Also i wonder about the HKS PFC FCON if those are still floating around.
Just looking for what LSD diff to get and maybe find a deal.I read some write ups that dont talk favorably about the vlsd, but i figured someone here could give me the real info. Ya I am on club protege too :) Thanks guys!! |

Please tell me that chip isn't some Ebay chip? You couldn't pay me... force me... or anything to use an Ebay 'chip'.
Just another confirmation... don't waste your time with the VLSD. The chip was on ebay he also has a site. Its a socket and solder in type. Not a resistor to trip the ecu. E.L. Prototypes. |
