MSM in SD
Hello,
Thanks to everyone for the accumulated knowledge on this forum. I appreciate the no-nonsense approach as compared to some of the other Miata boards out there. Back in July I bought a 2005 MSM with 11k on the odometer. It's my first car (I'm 29), as until recently I lived in eastern cities where I didn't really need a car. The Miata didn't stay stock long--I put the AEM intake, manual boost controller, and FM downpipe on within about a month. Shortly afterward I put in the O2 voltage clamp and full exhaust. Right now I'm still using the stock ECU, which has well-documented problems. Just recently I put on 16x8" RPF1s and a roll bar. I'd like the car to be a fun weekend driver and capable in autocross, though I have no ambitions to win races. Next up will be installation of a Hydra (I bought one from a member of this board) and bigger injectors. In a year or so I hope to have saved enough for a hardtop. (As a grad student, I don't exactly rake in the coin.) After that I may start dreaming about XIDA club sports. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5127/...8fed2c2fc1.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5007/...3e3a128b8d.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5284/...776ec3fa2f.jpg |

Welcome. Nice car!

Thanks for the tip on the Miata challenge. I have to work most weekends, so I probably won't be able to make it this time. But I'll keep an eye on that schedule now that I know about it. It would be a lot of fun to see one of those events.

Welcome and beautiful msm.
Great wheel selection too. Looks like an overall clean and sorted car and great start. Keep it up. |
Lava orange, I wanted one of these so bad, great color.

Nice photos Matt! I'm glad the Enkei's are working out for you, and I know it's in good hands! The Hydra and the Xida Club Sports will bring your car up to the next level.

Thanks Brandon. Be sure to let me know when you get that built motor set up in your MSM.
