My do-over 1990
New here, at long last.
I'm Richard, President of the Wild Rose Miata Club in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am a long-time Miata community member (Miata mailing list pre-dating Miata.net, Miata.net forum, etc...). As the owner of a FM turbo'd 1990 and a FM S/C'd 2007, I'm going through a do-over, as my 2007 will be sold by March (new owner has paid the deposit, but it's still winter here, so the car's not moving anytime soon), and I just picked up a cherry 1990 Miata and anticipate that I'll be going down the route taken with my first Miata. The focus this time is more of a track car vs. street / autocross car per my first two. Cheers, Richard |
You are in the right place for track oriented turbo info. We have a good race prep section where many questions you will have will already be answered.
What tracks are in you area? Welcome to the forum. |
Thanks.
Local to my, all of about a 15min drive, is Castrol Raceway and their 2.7km road course. This is a new track, which opened in 2013 to replace the loss of Calgary's Race City Speedway which closed in 2011. Badlands Motorsports Park will soon be developing, which would be about a 3hr drive south, and the Area 27 complex in southern British Columbia which is slated to begin construction this spring will be a 12hr tow. For now, the focus will be Castrol. I'm out there approximately 10-15 times a summer for lapping days / time attack, and also plan to make the car available for rent to others while I'm instructing. |
I'm looking forward to some of your track video when you can post some up.
