Use the VVT head. What's wrong with your tires?

I love red miatas; plan on painting the black parts?

Built bottom end, can't figure out how to install vvt head. Built bottom end, can't afford MS. What the hell is going on around here this morning? ?

The head bolts on the exact same way as any other head. I have a bp4W rail you can use with your stock FPR flipped. Just send me your address and pay for shipping, it's yours if you want it.

Get ID1000 injectors.
you run two wires to VVT, two wires. If you can't do that, it sounds like you are going to be using your stock CAS. I'd rather utilize the NB crank/cam sensors....but while you're at it, just wire in the VVT.

If you need more hand holding, then search Ultimate VVT in NA swap thread. You're wasting your time and money not using a better flowing head you already have in your possession.

Have all the parts to build bottom,
Short block is not hard to build, its straight forward and rather easy
I have a ms2 but need ms3 for vvt
Building a head is much more complicated
Valves, retainers, springs, cams cam gears, probably a port and polish, theres alot that i need to look into before i build the head

What power level are you looking for? Are you sure you NEED to do all that stuff? just send it to a machine shop, have them inspect it, replace any guides that have worn and replace the seals. If you want oversized valves that's on you. Soviet made 450whp on a stock bp4w head. really. save your head build for a $200 VVT controller, or an MS3 and get this car moving.

You don't need cam gears. You probably don't need PnP. If you go through that much effort, you better be using a real turbo or it's just money poorly spent when you could be getting normal tires and suspension and a paint job.

My completely stock vvt head handles 20 lbs. boost and make a **** ton of power. You don't need to build that head.

That's a narrow wheel, so plenty of burn outs. Your 320 goal is easy on a stock head. What transmission do you have?

Yea just inspect/use the head, gain some mid range and worry about the other supporting mods.

If you need that fuel rail for your vvt swap, lmk. You just flip your stock FPR upside down and run the hoses to the front. I might have extra SAE to barb adapters I can throw in.

He wants to build a head. But can't right now. Makes total sense to run the current head, build the VVT head on the side then swap it on.

You bring up Soviet, yet he did the exact same thing...

But he didnt ~need~ to to make power. He had a stock head, and OP is using a 6258. For his goal, he can leave the head untouched and just pour that money into injectors and fuel pump to get his car up and running in the first place.

Or he can run the head he has, doesn't need an ecu upgrade for.

While building the VVT, for reliability purposes and maybe more power.

If he plans on tracking the car, an upgraded valve train is a really good idea at 320hp.
