Sup guys, new to the miatas but not to the mod scene. Picked up one a few weeks back as a project car. Something to keep my mind busy when im not doing much. The car is an auto, but w/e its not the first time I've converted an auto to stick so it should be simple!
The car is a 99' silver/black combo. Leather seats, all the major maintenance was done so I didn't have to fork up more money. Just minor fixes which I'm doing slowly.
Few things on the list done already:
-Fixed a nasty coolant leak (old heater hose)
-Fixed an oil leak (seal behind oil cooler)
-Chrome inner door handles
-Power locks install (half way there) & wire it into the alarm
-Auto/Gear selector boogie/loose (replaced bushings, good as new now)
Need to do:
-Replace tranny fluid
-Replace diff fluid
-Replace brake fluid
-Maybe change the rotors and brake pads
-Replace basically all the seals on the head/valve cover area
-New spark plugs
-Get a plug/block off for the antenna (gotta love a clean car)
-SLAM CAR (have springs and coilovers, just need to sit down and do it)
-WHEELS!
So far I've driven it maybe 175 miles and its a rough ride compared to my daily. Car came with 17" wheels and 215/45-17 tires... so yeah, BUMPY ride. I believe the wheels were bent or something as well due to shaking around 70-80mph.
What the heck, whats a thread without pictures. My daily:
Started posting today and I've been warned about thread crapping? lol... it's that serious around here huh?

We are 95% function way way over form. We do not like your Lexus. We pictures like this:

Kapeesh?
Welcome. You're off to a good start, just drop your desire to "slam" your car so the suspension still works, and makes sure when you do find wheels, you keep them as light as possible.

I'm already aware of all that, with my Lexus... not much can be done with it. As for performance, I've been through it with my Civic. Swaps, turbos, tune after tune... it's all been done. I don't think I need to make a point but whatever.
OH HAI GUISE!

If you're trying to be welcomed as a noob, you're not doing a very good job. You're coming off as a troll, honestly.
Welcome, if you're serious about getting fast you've come to the right place. If you're serious about slammage and thread crapping, clubroadster.net is more your style.
EDIT - WonTon beat me.

noob to miatas, everything else... long time car enthusiast. I build my cars all around, the Lexus was built on aesthetics for the most of it because its a daily driver with decent power already. I drive around low like that all day, even though its "slammed," according to people who have seen in person I still think there is more to go but I like it how it is now. Ride quality is very good for a lowered car.
With a lowered Miata it's different. I won't get into the specifics (read in the suspension section) but there are those in the Miata world who care about suspension performance, and those who slam their cars. You just have to figure out which group you belong to.
