NC owner from UK, with much to learn and wanting 290bhp.
 

As per title, I'm in the UK and want to turbocharge a Mk3 NC MX5 as much as the standard clutch can take; I was originally happy with 250bhp at the crank, but was reliably informed I can get away with 290bhp on the standard clutch.

I'm handy with a spanner, and have changed engines, cambelts, headgaskets etc so have no problem installing things; the problem I have is that I have no experience of turbo charging or programming ECUs etc. I need an idiots guide.

I've read that I should begin by getting to grips with programming my ECU while the car is stock. Do I reprogramme my existing ECU? Which software should I use?

I can find the Kraken manifold in the UK, but no downpipe; any pointers?
