How tall are you? A user here who is 6'2" modified his car so he could use a normal rollbar.

Yeah, I would have fit under the stock soft top with a standard bar (I'm 6'2"), but it was cramped and uncomfortable. I figured why take half measures?

I think somebody ended up mounting elise seats to the floor, or something like that.

I have Kirkey racing seats mounted directly to the floorpan.
