Are you looking for a car that is quick/fast in a straight line only? Then you should buy a DSM or an Evo. If you want a car that's great for turning as well, then you are headed in the right direction. If the latter, I'll second the advice above regarding suspension first, especially given that it's going to be your first car. Driving a RWD car is an adjustment if you learned on FWD/AWD...I was glad to have the 7 months n/a before I converted.

I would say nay to turbo. You just started driving. Upgrade a few of the suspension pieces and start doing some autocross. You will spend a lot less money, and have fun. Plus you will spank your friends mustangs in any autocross.

Like FRT_Fun said, not yet. Drive the car for a few months, upgrade the suspension & brakes, get a real roll bar, get good tires if it doesn't already have them, get a megasquirt then add power. Turbochargers or superchargers are the only ways to get real power, an intake/exhaust isn't going to net you power like it would in a Mustang or Camaro. I'd say you shoud tart doing research on turbocharging, but I wouldn't buy anything yet, especially if you've come from the world of AWD/FWD. Check out BEGI as well as FM.
